We have finalized the hardware changes for next revision of the INTAQO device. Apart of using a different chip – the ESP32, we will also introduce pH sensor and magnetic valve, which we will use for automated CO2 control. These are the technical schemas of the new hardware:
We have a very first application build from Sergey. It is still a very technical looking thing, but it is a installable application for android working on my phone.
SSDP lookup is working ok and we have the first association screens.
I have made a very important decision today regarding the mobile app. Out of the 7 developers who have started working on the assignment; I have selected Sergey from Ukraine to continue working on the project.
Sergey has shown most understanding for the task and has a good record of previous projects delivered.
One of the designers, Dmitry have send first ideas for the packaging design. They look pretty cool.
Good news is, that also the samples of the new aluminum enclosures arrived and they look awesome!
I have spent a lot of time recently trying to find the right pictures for the design of the webpage and the packaging.
I have seen hundreds of amazing aquaria and I must say my love for this hobby is growing by the day.

Apart of the professional designers, I have also spoken with my friend who is quite skilled with graphics. He provided with some great ideas:
I have prepared a depiction of my idea of the picture which will be on the retail packaging box.
The idea behind it is that it is sort of infographics, which will depict that for beautiful aquarium, we need to manage the main parameters and the RMLD will help to achieve this.
This is just a draft yet, and I understand that there is too much info at the same time. Also that the example is too negative – there should be majority of the beautiful part of the aquarium.
In the final art, there should be picture of the device & the mobile app
I have shared this idea with the design job contestants, let’s see what they can do with it.
Important to note is also, that we have decided to use the name INTAQO instead of RMLD. The base of the name comes from Integrated Aquarium Controller. We have checked that the name is not in use by anyone and registered the domains.
Wow, I already have first idea proposal. It is completely different from what I had in mind. I guess I will have to be much more specific in explaining what I want.

I need to create a product / brand identity & design of a product, which bundles custom made HW with mobile phone app.
The product is a device, which will allow you to control the LED lights via your mobile phone + has addition features.
I need to design physical packaging, promo website and mobile application. + web banners, etc.
All in one unified design language that emerges from the device’s main functions and expectations of the customers.
I have a quite exact idea of what I need and I am looking for someone to help me get it done
Today I have ordered new enclosures for the device. They are made of aluminum, made in Japan and are way more cool than the previous plastic enclosures.
Just look at the difference. We will have the devices in both silver and black colour 🙂
