THE STORY OF INTAQO

29.5.2017

Yay! We bought a new 3D printer for our project. We plan on using it for prototyping of various parts for the device. The printer is yet a kit, which we need to assemble. But we are excited! J

24.5.2017

We had a very good conf call with Dale, who explained everything. I didn’t understand 90% of what was discussed, but JT was very pleased with the explanation. J

We are spending lot of time testing the prototype. It works very well, the only limit is my ignorance in using the exposed rest APIs.

I am trying to learn Javascript. I believe that the application will not be really difficult so I will try to program it myself.

Also our discussion with Dale continues. We strive to understand delivered schemas.

As for example, we don’t understand why 4 exactly equal capacitators should be connected in this way for the channel drivers.

It does not help that Dale is in Oregon, but we are trying to find right time slots.

For anyone interested, this is a very useful tool for online meeting scheduling for people in different timezones https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?iso=20170523&p1=221&p2=735

21.5.2017

JT has made 2 brand new prototypes of the device, which we will use for testing.

Fully featured, USB powered with 2 LED strips simulating the 2 LED channels the final device will manage. Wonderful!!!

18.5.2017

We have decided to use an external antenna with the device.

I have to find a good source of these kind of auxiliary materials. I have created an account on Alibaba.com  – interesting place. A lot (a LOT) of people who want to sell something. But it is quite hard to find someone who is able to communicate and understand what I actually need. This also looks like it is going to be a more difficult process than I originally anticipated.

17.5.2017

We have received a sample of the PAR sensor.

It is a pity we are too busy with all other things to properly play with it.

It really looks like a marvelous piece of engineering 🙂

We really need to prioritize; there is a lot of tasks open. We need to review the first schemas we received from Dal, have to brainstorm the architecture for the backend for data reporting. Wish we had more people in the team. On top of everything, the work on the mobile application has completely stopped. This part of the project worries me most at the moment. We have no plan at the moment to solve this problem L If anyone knows a good mobile application developer, please send me his/her contact.

12.5.2017

We are fine tuning the last ideas about the device.

We will add 2 buttons to the case

Button 1 – reset

Button 2 – change to AP mode / long press will reset the device to factory settings

11.5.2017

We have received the enclosures we will use for our devices.

We have started seriously considering using ESP32 instead of ESP8266, mainly because of its superior memory space and ability to work with security certificates. Doing research on available modules, considering the WROOM-32.

4.5.2017

We had a discussion with JT about having the device connected to a server in the internet and posting the data to be readable from it. This would imply serious redesign of the firmware architecture and maybe possibly HW changes.

3.5.2017

After much more discussions about the details of the HW design, we have a first real outcome. It is a professional design of the PCB with all required components. To me, this looks like a space invasion plan, but I am so glad we have it 🙂
